GNOME SlackBuild (GSB)

News and Announcements:

Project Status

Posted 2007/08/28 @ 10:52 CDT

It's been one year and two days since this news section has been updated. The volunteer developers are not sure what's been going on with the project's founder and leader, Freerock. We've tried to touch base with him to see if he'd approve of us simply taking over the project, and to revitalize it. We're in desperate need of updating FRG/GSB.

If you're a developer, and wish to help revitalize the project, swing on by the development section, to learn how to get started.

Thanks.
Chipster, malloc & Tadgy, and the rest of the volunteers.

There is a forum for support requests if you want to use them instead of the mailing lists. Thanks to spiral_architect and alisonken1 from mutagenix for hosting them. The forum is located at:

GNOME 2.14 Available for testing

Posted 2006/04/10 @ 18:30 00

GNOME 2.14 is available for testing in frg-unstable on the mirrors. I have not tested any of the packages yet. They have all built cleanly, so they should be fine. Only the bare minimum desktop is available currently.

The 2.14.1 updates that came out today are currently building along with the bindings. Extras should be up in a few days.

As usual, test and send bug reports.

Wow, no News updates since November, I guess we are just imitating Slackware.com very closely.
